Due to the high propagation loss and blockage-sensitive characteristics of millimeter waves (mmWaves), constructing fifth-generation (5G) cellular networks involves deploying ultra-dense base stations (BS.

Do calibration sources improve localization accuracy when sgpes exist?
The comprehensive simulations confirmed that the proposed method can remove the negative effects of SGPEs and outperform the two-step methods and previous DPD methods that do not take the errors into account. As a result, the use of calibration sources has a great improvement on the localization accuracy when SGPEs exist.
The internal relationship between the calibration signals and SGPEs provides the improvement for estimating the emitter position. The proposed method can fully utilize the raw observations from each sta- tion and the accuracy can also achieve the CRB.
