This substation upgrade is the foundation for future development and marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to modernize and expand Sweden's power infrastructure. The Hall substation, supplied by Linxon, replaces an aging substation that had reached the end of its operational lifespan.

The commissioning of the Hall substation is a testament to Linxon's and Svenska kraftnät's dedication to ensuring a robust and resilient power infrastructure for Sweden.
Svenska kraftnät has therefore decided to significantly modernize Stockholm's electricity network, a project called “Stockholms Ström”. To achieve this, over fifty projects need to be implemented over 20 years. It includes a new cable tunnel under the city, voltage upgrade and replacement of old substations.
