In the hybrid system, the ventilated double-glazing PV curtain wall provided reheat energy for the subcooled supply air while effectively cooling the PV façade. It efficiently facilitated solar-electric conversion and excess heat recovery (HR), thereby enhancing the electrical and thermal performance of the building.
The overall performance improvement is more significant at an incident solar irradiation around 800 W/m2. In conclusion, the integration of a PV double-glazing curtain wall with ASHP for OA handling demonstrates significant advantages in terms of PV production enhancement, air-conditioning load reduction, and ASHP efficiency improvement.
