The land is registered to SP as a fixed term estate for a lease term of 50 years. It has an area of 1.7 ha. The Honiara East substation is on SP land acquired by negotiated settlement on 8 November 1984. The land is registered as Parcel No. PN192-004-14, is 2.028 ha with a fixed term lease of 75 years.
